Jennifer grew up in a Philadelphia golf family playing at Torresdale-Frankford Country Club. She was medalist and runner-up in the 1984 Philadelphia Women’s Amateur Championship. She attended Marshall University on a golf scholarship and winning the 1985 Mexican Amateur was the highlight of her amateur career.
After a respectable amateur career she decided to move from Philadelphia to pursue her golf dreams. She worked with Mike LaBauve at Pinehurst, North Carolina, and later moved to the Phoenix area to work with him at Alta Mesa Country Club. Jennifer turned professional in 1985 and played on mini-tours in the US and tours in Japan, Asia and Europe. She started working with Jim Hardy in 1987. She competed on the LPGA Tour as an exempt player in 1992. While on tour, Jennifer worked on her game with Carol Mann, winner of 38 LPGA tournaments and LPGA Hall of Fame member.
In 1993 Jennifer began teaching for world-renowned instructor Hank Haney in Dallas. While working for Haney she was instrumental in the expansion of the junior golf program, directed the LPGA Girls Golf Club of Dallas and conducted corporate golf clinics for women. She worked for Haney for 12 years as an instructor, junior golf coordinator, facility manager and director of instruction.
After her daughter was born, she and her husband Paul moved back to the Philadelphia area and Jennifer taught at Cedarbrook Country Club. From 2006 to 2008 they were the professionals at Meadowlands Country Club running the Barnsley Golf Academy. In 2009 they became the golf professionals at Race Brook Country Club in Orange, Connecticut. Paul and Jennifer are owners of the Barnsley Golf Shop and she is the Junior Golf Leader.
